Poly-B Replacement
Replacement of Poly-B water lines in mobile/modular homes includes.
· New 3/4" Pex water lines for the length of the home.
During the period that Poly-b was used 1/2" water lines were installed throughout the home. So this is a much-needed upgrade for your home. This new 3/4" line increases the water pressure and Flow Rate.
- 1/2" Pex water lines off of the 3/4" line to the fixtures.
- Replacement of all shut-offs.
· New frost-free taps for outside taps.
· A new water line to the dishwasher.
· New laundry box with water valves and hammer arresters.
The purpose of installing hammer arresters is to reduce stress on the water lines from quickly turning on and off.
After we finish installing the new Pex water lines
· We pressure the water lines to 80 PSI for 30 minutes to ensure no leaks.
· Install new insulation to close gaps made during the Replacement process.
· At the locations where we cut into the belly to install the Pex water lines we close the belly with our method that has been refined thru our vast experience.
